Independent Study Contract
INDEPENDENT STUDY CONTRACT (ISC)
If it is necessary for parents to keep their children out of school for up to two weeks (minimum of five days, maximum of 10) to travel or attend some special event, the District requests that an Independent Study Contract (ISC) be set up between the child and the teacher.
The contract provides children with lessons and activities to complete while away from school and helps to ensure that the students do not fall behind in their studies. The request for an ISC should be made no later than 10 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF ABSENCE. The ISC is turned into the office and the distributed to the teacher/s. The teacher will complete the contract and give it to the student. The contract and work is DUE UPON THE DAY OF RETURN TO SCHOOL.
