Elementary Music
Arroyo Vista is proud to offer music classes to all students in K-6. Students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade receive general music classes that provide lessons and skill building in reading, listening, singing, playing, moving to, and creating music.
During 4th grade students have the option of choosing between Strings and Choir. Students in Strings will choose between violin, viola or cello. During 5th grade, students can remain in Strings or Choir or choose Band and choose to play the flute, clarinet, saxophone, baritone, trombone or French horn. These classes are performance-based classes that are built upon the California Arts Framework.
