Conflict Mediation
HAVING A PROBLEM WITH ANOTHER STUDENT? Try a CONFLICT MEDIATION!!
Conflict mediation is a chance to sit down with another student that you are having an issue with and talk about the problem. Mediations are completely confidential and supervised by the Counselor as a mediator. There are a few rules to agree to before a mediation can take place:
- Both students need to be willing to participate
- No name-calling or put-downs
- Each student is allowed to speak with no interruptions
- Everything discussed in mediation stays completely confidential
Here is a copy of the Conflict Mediation Form so you can have an idea of how the process goes.
Solving problems appropriately is a skill that will definitely help you succeed in the future!
